Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. Our membership cover North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both Juniors & Adults alike.

Brass Monkey - round 3

There is a new name at the top of the results table for race 3 of the Brass Monkey series. Gaz Henshall, sailing a Solo, mastered the winds to take first place, followed by Jeremy Cooper (Lightning) and Eric Haselden (Supernova). Brass Monkey - race 2

Kieran Lewis led from start to finish with his Aero 7 to win race 2 of the Brass Monkey series. Simon Dolman and Jim Young took the other podium places. So after two races, Simons is the boat to watch as he sits in first place. More »

Brass Monkeys - take two!

The second race in the Brass Monkey series is on Sunday 9th February. Racing starts at 11am and as its an open series visitors are very welcome. The first race (Feb 2nd) saw a trio of Laser sailors on the podium, with Gwyn Jones taking the top spot. More »

RYA training - First Aid

Yes its only February, but the Club recently ran the first RYA training session of the year.  12 club members successfully completed the RYA first aid course, delivered by external instructor Ron Pickering. A second course is planned for March 1st. Shotwick Lake Sailing is committed to developing regular training events covering all aspects of water sports, both on and off the water.  More »

Sat 8th March - Call for Volunteers

Thanks to Beth we have the opportunity to participate in an open day at Ellesmere port Sports Village (EPSV).
