Shotwick Lake is situated on the Welsh, English border on the edge of the Dee estuary. Our membership cover North Wales, The Wirral, Chester and North West England. 

A family club we pride ourselves on our community and are an affiliated RYA Training Centre running sailing and windsurfing courses for both Juniors & Adults alike.

Brass Monkey time is approaching

Sunday February 2nd sees the start of our 2025 racing programme, with the first of our Brass Monkey series. One race, starting at 11am, is a great opportunity to blow away those winter cobwebs. Visitors welcome. More »

First working party of 2025

Saturday Feb 1st. Our first working party of the year. 9-midday. Come dressed for weather and work. There might be some water-based work so pop in a life jacket etc. There will be hot drinks and biscuits . All are welcome to come along so dont worry if its your first time! 2025 prize giving

After the final pursuit race in December, the club held its annual prize giving. Club Commodore Jeremy Cooper commented. The presentation event was a full house. Its great to see such enthusiasm and it looks like 2025 will be a very busy sailing and racing year. Next weekend is a busy one.

On Saturday (14th) all members are invited to join the working party that runs from 9 until lunchtime. Hot drinks and biscuits provided. Then on Sunday (15th) there is a final one-off pursuit race, starting at 11am, followed by prize giving and the official opening of the new galley.
