It might only be March but club training is well underway. Today was the turn of the safety boat helms as they undertook refresher training under the watchful eye of Chief Instructor Chris Snow. Chris was assisted by Jude Stratton who was completing her final observed training session before being signed off as a club instructor. Jude also completed multiple capsizes while acting as a rescue dummy for the refresher course!

The growing number of trained safety boat helms is critical, enabling the club to not only support the very busy racing programme but also the many junior initiatives, Visually Impaired sailing sessions, and the Friday social sailing evenings (once things warm up a bit!).
