Work Party!

The March work party was a varied affair. A team of 18 members carried out grounds maintenance, the construction of a rack for boat storage, installation of computer cabling, inventory and clear out of the old equipment store, repairs to the store roof, raking and grading of the NW lake access ramp, carrying out maintenance on the club Hansa 303 Access dinghies, cleaning the pontoon and inventory and cleaning of the club trophies plus any items from the standing list! As you can see in the photo, some of the work party were simply having too much fun. More images can be found on the club Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/ShotwickLakeSailingClub. When you next visit the Club you will also find that club secretary Vicki has been busy updating the notice boards. Les also had a new helper with him in the shape of his new border terrier pup, Arthur, who made sure he got to meet everyone during the morning.
It was a chilly morning, but as well as a mid-morning coffee the team were kept warm with hot soup to keep them going. The next work party is on Saturday 4th April, so pop it in your diary and come along. And you will get a chance to meet Arthur! As well as keeping the club working and looking good, the work parties also help to keep the member fees as low as possible, and are a great way of meeting other members.
At the risk of being repetitive: it is amazing what diverse skills members have and Les and the team would love to learn more about you and your own special skills. Please email comms@shotwicksailing.org to share your super power and join the work party team!
