Some Members at the club have been working hard forging links with UK North Blind Sailing Association. Les and Jeremy have been lucky enough to enjoy a sail on the associations boats in the River Mersey.

On Friday June 7th we hosted a visit from UK North Blind Sailing Association at Shotwick. We are very proud to host them and give them the opportunity to sail in the club Wanderers. For some of the sailors it was their first dinghy sail, they all seemed to enjoy the experience and had huge smiles.

It was a huge club effort to host UK North Blind Sailing Association, we would like to thank Chris Snow and Jeremy Cooper for helming. Les Perry, Mark Roberts, Andy Clay and Ian Clowes for providing rescue cover for VI sailors. Lesley Roberts for meeting and greeting and to all the club members who assisted in every way on the evening- I know many of you did small jobs and these were crucial to the evening running smoothly.

Wanderer 1 was crewed by Paul Regan and David Owen and helmed by Chris Snow and Wanderer 3 was helmed by Jeremy Cooper and crewed by Shelley Roberts and Charlotte Quinn.

We hope to be able to host the UK North Blind Sailing Association again on June 28th and 30th, July 26th and 28th, if you would be interested in assisting, please get in touch.
